Director Credit Issue — Business Finance Restored

Michael had built a successful construction business over twelve years. When he approached his lender to renew a major equipment finance facility, he was told his application had been flagged — his personal credit score had dropped significantly and the lender wanted to review the arrangement.

What Michael didn't know was that a single equipment loan had been recorded multiple times across two of his entities, making him appear far more leveraged than he actually was. The duplication had been sitting on his file for years without anyone identifying it.

When Michael contacted Edit Credit, we reviewed both his personal and company credit files across both bureaus. We identified the duplication, established that it was a reporting error, and engaged directly with the relevant credit provider to have the incorrect entries corrected.

With the duplication removed, Michael's credit profile accurately reflected his actual financial position. His finance renewal was approved, and he was back to focusing on his business — not fighting a credit file problem he didn't create.
